Story Overview
Adapted from Andrea Mara’s 2021 bestselling novel, the story follows Marissa Irvine (Snook), a mother whose structured life disintegrates when she goes to collect her young son, Milo, from his first playdate at 14 Arthur Avenue. A stranger answers the door — and confusion quickly turns to terror when her child cannot be found.
As news of the disappearance spreads, Marissa is forced not only to search for her son but also to defend herself against growing suspicion within her tight-knit community.
