US-based medical device company Cranial Technologies is participating for the first time in the China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai. The company aims to meet the increasing demand for advanced infant care and establish China as a key international market.
“We are truly honored to participate in the CIIE for the first time — it's one of the world's most influential platforms for global trade and innovation,” said Debbie James, CEO of Cranial Technologies.
James emphasized that CIIE offers a critical opportunity to form partnerships to expand access to their infant care products in China. She noted the company's mission aligns with the Healthy China 2030 initiative, making this a strategic moment to engage with the market.
Cranial Technologies has treated more than 400,000 infants globally with its FDA-cleared DOC Band, the first cranial orthotic designed to gently correct plagiocephaly, commonly known as flat head syndrome. The product recently gained approval from China’s National Medical Products Administration and will soon be available locally.
Debbie James highlighted the openness and high standards of China’s business environment, calling it full of “tremendous opportunities” for international healthcare innovators like Cranial Technologies.
Summary: Cranial Technologies leverages its debut at CIIE to expand into China’s growing infant care market, aligning with national health goals and introducing its innovative FDA-approved cranial orthotic.
