Abhishek Sharma and Varun Chakravarthy continue to hold the top positions in the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) T20I rankings for batsmen and bowlers, respectively. This follows notable performances and ranking shifts after Pakistan's 2-1 series victory over South Africa at home.
Abhishek Sharma leads the batters' list with 925 rating points, ahead of England’s Phil Salt and Tilak Verma. India’s captain Suryakumar Yadav is the only other Indian player to feature in the top 10, holding eighth place.
Pakistan's Babar Azam rose nine places to share the 30th spot, while Saim Ayub jumped 10 places to 39th, and Salman Agha climbed 10 rungs to 54th in the ICC T20I batters’ rankings.
Varun Chakravarthy remains the number one ranked T20 bowler. West Indies’ Akeal Hossein and Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan hold the second and third positions, with no changes among the top three.
Below the top three, Australia’s Adam Zampa dropped from fourth to seventh, allowing Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga, England’s Adil Rashid, and Nuwan Thushara to each move up one spot.
Australia fast bowler Josh Hazlewood also made significant progress, rising two places to tenth due to strong performances against India.
Chakravarthy is the only Indian bowler in the top 10 rankings for T20 bowlers.
