Join us to Commemorate Remembrance Sunday
Derby residents are invited to take part in this year’s Remembrance Sunday commemorations and pay their respects on Sunday, 9 November 2025.
Parade and Service Details
The city's annual Remembrance Sunday parade and service will once again unite local youth groups, veteran organisations, and residents from across the community to honour the bravery and sacrifice of armed forces and emergency service members.
- Time and Location: At 10:45am, local veterans and youth organisations will march through the city centre to the Market Place, accompanied by the Salvation Army Band.
- Service: The ceremony will begin at 10:55am, led by the Lord Bishop of Derby with assistance from the Very Rev'd Dr Peter Robinson, Dean of Derby.
- Observation: A two-minute silence will be held during the service to reflect on the sacrifices made by many.
- Wreath Laying: Wreaths will then be placed at the War Memorial by Civic dignitaries and representatives of local groups.

The Order of Service is available for download, and those attending can also view the ceremony on a large screen in the Market Place.
Unlike in recent years, troops from the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers 148 Divisional Support Company will not be parading, but several local youth and veteran organisations will still participate.
