BOSTON — Just 10 days after a heavy 7-2 defeat to the Ottawa Senators, the Boston Bruins met their rivals again at TD Garden on Thursday. This time, the Bruins demonstrated a significant turnaround, defeating Ottawa 3-2 in overtime and marking their fifth consecutive victory.
Forward Pavel Zacha highlighted the game's importance, saying,
“It was big motivation for us. We lost a game there and lost pretty badly. Before the game, we were motivated to give it back, and I’m happy that we won.”
Zacha scored the decisive goal with only 5.6 seconds remaining in overtime. After Charlie McAvoy maneuvered extensively around the attacking zone, he took a shot on goal which Zacha successfully redirected into the net for his fourth goal of the season.
Boston maintained a 2-1 lead with less than 10 minutes left in the third period before pushing ahead in overtime.
Boston Bruins showcase resilience and growth, turning previous loss into motivation to secure continued success.
