Elder Gérald Caussé has been sustained as the newest member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is 62 years old and originally from Bordeaux, France.
Before this calling, Elder Caussé served 11 years as the Presiding Bishop of the Church. His earlier roles as a General Authority included assignments in Germany and later in the United States from 2008 to 2012.
He and his wife, Valérie, have been married for 30 years and are parents to five children.
