The 2026 Winter Olympics will feature NHL players competing for the first time since 2014. Previously, NHL players participated from 1998 to 2014 but were excluded starting in 2018 due to the Olympics falling in the middle of the NHL season.
The league will implement a mid-season break during the Olympics to enable NHL players to represent their countries.
