Remembrance Day Garbage Collection Advisory

The Ministry of Public Works and Environment announces that household waste will not be collected on Tuesday, November 11, in observance of Remembrance Day.

“The Ministry of Public Works and Environment is advising that household waste will not be collected on the Remembrance Day holiday, Tuesday, November 11,” said a Government spokesperson.

Collection will resume on Wednesday, following a roll-over schedule. This means:

This week is designated for recycling, which will follow its usual schedule:

Residents may also drop off household waste and recyclables at the Tynes Bay Public Drop-Off facility. It will be open on Tuesday, November 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and will return to its normal hours of 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. starting the following day.
