Mann, a serial entrepreneur with four startups under his belt, believes that delaying capital raising is beneficial. He advises waiting until the product has momentum, making it easier to raise funds.
“It’s really hard to raise external capital just based on a vision and a dream,”
Mann said.
“It’s much easier and much better, especially in the consumer space, to have a product in the market that has real traction.”
CollX, a trading card platform and 2023 RealLIST Startups honoree, raised $10 million in Series A funding earlier this year, after years of growth.
Mann initially relied on his own funds and family money, avoiding external capital for as long as possible.
