The first trailer for Avengers: Doomsday is set to arrive earlier than anyone expected. According to Collider, the footage will premiere before screenings of Avatar: Fire and Ash, the third installment directed by James Cameron.
Avatar: Fire and Ash introduces the mysterious Ash People of Pandora and is scheduled to hit cinemas on December 19. This placement means fans will get their first glimpse of Marvel’s upcoming epic almost exactly one year before its release on December 18, 2026.
This unusually long 12-month buildup for Doomsday could suggest greater confidence from Marvel Studios, though it will definitely spark intense speculation about the long-secret project.
Robert Downey Jr. is confirmed to appear, along with the casts of Fantastic Four and Thunderbolts. Several heroes from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe and legacy X-Men characters are also expected to join, as revealed during a six-hour promotional stream in March.
“Avengers: Doomsday could be the biggest film of the decade,” said Gambit actor Channing Tatum, fueling fan excitement even further.
Marvel’s bold early reveal of Avengers: Doomsday alongside James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash signals a major cinematic event with a year-long build-up and an all-star cast.
