World Leaders in Doha Unite for Just and Inclusive Societies

Doha, Qatar, 4 November 2025 – Amid growing global tensions and widening inequality, world leaders at the Second World Summit for Social Development endorsed the Doha Political Declaration, reaffirming a collective pledge to foster fairer and more inclusive societies.

The declaration embodies a joint promise by governments to combat poverty, generate decent employment, advance equality, and protect human rights. Participants emphasized that social development is both a moral duty and a foundation for peace, stability, and sustainable progress.

“True development isn’t about prosperity for the few,” said UN Secretary-General António Guterres. “It’s about opportunities for the many, grounded in social justice, full employment, and human dignity.”
