Loose Women viewers expressed dissatisfaction with the panel's unusual behavior during Thursday's episode of the popular ITV daytime chat show.
Lunchtime hosts Jane Moore, Mariella Frostrup, Nadia Sawalha, and Sue Cleaver welcomed singer Matteo Bocelli, son of opera legend Andrea Bocelli, to discuss his second album and live performance.
Jane Moore started the interview by complimenting Matteo's looks:
"Well, first of all, can we just say you are impossibly handsome? But I'm sure you get a lot of that!"
Matteo explained the evolution of his music and the process behind his album Falling In Love:
"Honestly, I feel like I evolved so this time I had the chance to work on the album with more time and was dreaming to set the studio at home and spend three or four weeks with the producers. Music is an exchange of ideas, and to me, it was very important to get it. There's a cover that has more of a classical feeling, but mainly pop."
Mariella Frostrup, sitting next to Matteo, leaned in and giggled as he spoke about growing up with a famous father known for a different music genre.
Many viewers criticized the panel for their "weird" conduct during the interview, feeling it overshadowed the guest’s presence.
Author's summary: The Loose Women episode featuring Matteo Bocelli sparked viewer criticism due to the panel’s awkward interview style despite Matteo’s insightful discussion of his new album.
