On Friday, the National Weather Service issued a dense fog advisory starting at 5 a.m. for Conecuh, Butler, Crenshaw, Escambia, and Covington counties.
The advisory warns about visibility dropping to one quarter mile or less due to dense fog.
“Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous,”
the weather service warns. Motorists should,
“slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.”
This alert indicates widespread dense fog has formed, reducing visibility significantly and making driving more difficult.
Dense fog in South Alabama reduces visibility to 1/4 mile or less, requiring drivers to slow down, use appropriate lights, and maintain safe distances to navigate safely.
