Tish Hyman, a singer from Los Angeles, stated that Gold’s Gym terminated her membership after she confronted a man using the women’s locker room. The incident followed her complaints about the man's repeated presence in the locker room.
Hyman, 42, shared a video showing her confrontation with the individual, whom she accused of harassment. According to the New York Post, the gym canceled her membership on the Sunday following the event.
“I had repeatedly made written reports on this man for coming into our women’s locker room harassing us, and the gym staff has done absolutely nothing!!”
“He has disrespected me multiple times, and I’ve only been ignored when I quietly reported it. But today I made noise!!”
“Today as I walked into the locker room he came in behind me and called me a b*tch in a deep angry voice. I RAN OUT INTO THE GYM SCREAMING THERE IS A MAN IN THE REST ROOM!!”
“I called for help and men in the gym got involved, THANK GOD and the staff finally decided to act.”
In the posted video, the man wears all black and exchanges words with another person before Hyman shouts,
“Now he knows how to be a man, right? Stay outta the women’s locker room! He needs to have his gym membership revoked for that s–t!”
Hyman also references past complaints she has filed against the same individual.
Tish Hyman's experience highlights concerns about safety and staff responsiveness at Gold’s Gym regarding gender-based harassment in locker rooms.
