The Miami-area residence of Heat coach Erik Spoelstra caught fire shortly after the team returned from a road trip. Early Thursday morning, a two-alarm fire erupted at the multimillion-dollar home, according to Milena Malaver, Carl Juste, and David Neal of the Miami Herald.
The Heat and Spoelstra arrived on a chartered flight from Denver around 5 a.m. ET after a four-game road trip, about 25 minutes after firefighters were dispatched to his Miami-Dade property.
The house, located on a 43,000-square-foot lot, was sold in 2023 for $6.6 million. The fire was fought for over four hours at the five-bedroom residence, which includes a pool and tennis courts. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
