Hayley Williams has returned with a new single titled "Showbiz." She is also hinting at an upcoming tour to promote her latest album, Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party.
The song "Showbiz" features crisp drums, a vocoder-enhanced chorus, and shimmering synths, presenting a more romantic indie pop style from Williams. Its smooth, syncopated grooves, co-produced by Williams and collaborator Daniel James, evoke the vibe of Phoenix. This connection is fitting, as Williams previously sampled Phoenix’s 2017 track “Fior di Latte” on her recent release, “Love Me Different.”

While no official tour has been announced, Williams appears to be planning one. On the site where she surprise-released the entire album Ego Death, a photo was found in the "trash" folder showing a possible world tour routing, including cities across North America such as Atlanta, Toronto, Nashville, Chicago, Austin, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Boston, New York City, Los Angeles, plus several UK and European locations.
"Showbiz" follows the track "Good Ol’ Days," and both songs are part of the physical edition of Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party, which has recently been made available in physical format for fans.
