The third episode of the horror-drama prequel It: Welcome to Derry, titled “Now You See It,” premieres Sunday, November on HBO Max. Set in 1962 Derry, Maine, the series continues exploring the sinister beginnings of Pennywise and the town’s growing darkness.
Episode one introduced Leroy and Charlotte Hanlon, a military family moving to the seemingly quiet Derry. Their new life quickly turned into a nightmare as children vanished and eerie creatures emerged from the shadows, establishing the chilling tone familiar to Stephen King’s universe.
The story deepens as more families face unexplainable tragedies, and Pennywise’s presence grows stronger. Long-buried secrets of Derry’s past begin to surface, clouding the community in fear and paranoia.
“The prequel expands the universe established by Andy Muschietti in the two films, exploring how Pennywise’s reign over Derry begins and deepens.”
“Now You See It” runs for approximately 50 minutes and continues to blend mystery with atmospheric terror, building anticipation for the next terrifying chapter.
