Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Alex Vesia did not participate in the 2025 World Series as the Dodgers faced the Toronto Blue Jays. The team announced that Vesia was on leave due to a “personal matter” involving his family.

Despite the Blue Jays not winning the series, they showed respect by wearing Alex’s number, 51, on their caps during Game 6.
