Ukraine War Latest Updates: Special Forces Strike in Crimea

Live coverage of Russia’s war against Ukraine continues with multiple updates today. On November 7, Ukraine's Special Operations Forces (SSO) reported that their long-range drones targeted oil depots and logistic facilities in Russian-occupied Crimea.

Drone Strike Near Simferopol

The oil depot near Hvardiiske village, located about 20 kilometers north of Simferopol, was hit. A full RVS-400 tank, used for storing oil, petroleum products, and other liquids, was destroyed, according to the SSO.

Special Operations Forces said, “Special Operations Forces continue to act asymmetrically in countering the enemy's military capabilities,” accompanied by drone footage of the strike.

Additional Targets Hit

The SSO also claimed drone attacks on several oil depots and fuel storage sites in and around Simferopol, as well as hits on two trains loaded with petroleum products at a loading and unloading facility.

Reactions and Verification

The Russian occupational authorities in Crimea have not responded to Ukraine’s claims. The Kyiv Independent has not independently verified the SSO's reports.
