Australian audiences will have the chance to experience Eddie Izzard's remarkable acting in her celebrated one-woman show. Emmy Award-winning and Tony Award-nominated Eddie Izzard will bring her acclaimed performance of The Tragedy of Hamlet to Australia in June 2026, following sold-out runs in the US and UK.

The production has earned nominations for two prestigious drama awards: the New York Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Solo Performance and the New York Drama League’s Distinguished Performance Award.

Minimalist Staging Reflecting Shakespeare’s Original Spirit

In homage to the earliest stagings of Hamlet, Eddie will perform on a bare stage, allowing Shakespeare's language and storytelling to remain the central focus. Adapted by Mark Izzard and directed by Selina Cadell, this production features Eddie embodying all 23 characters in the classic tragedy.
