Riot Games announced that the League of Legends World Championship 2026 will be hosted across two U.S. cities: Allen, Texas, and New York City. This marks the first North American hosting of the event since 2022.
Specific venues for each tournament phase have not been disclosed yet.
"The city of Allen, Texas will play host to the Play-In, Swiss stage, and the Playoffs. New York City, New York, will host the Grand Final."
Outside pandemic years, 2026 is the first time in three years that Worlds will span two cities. Previously, in 2023, Busan and Seoul in South Korea hosted various tournament phases.
Riot Games also revealed the second edition of First Stand, the first international tournament of the 2026 season. This event will take place from March 16 to 22 in São Paulo, Brazil.
"League of Legends esports is no stranger to the Brazilian city."
The 2026 League of Legends World Championship returns to North America with a two-city setup, while First Stand expands in Brazil, signaling growth in the global esports scene.
