Victorian team secures place in Scania’s ‘Top Team’ Asian Regional finals

Victorian Team Qualifies for Scania’s ‘Top Team’ Asian Regional Finals

A team from Scania’s company-owned Dandenong Branch has secured victory in the Australian National Top Team competition for the second consecutive year. Their win earns them a trip to Bangkok in early 2026 to compete in the Asian Regional finals, aiming to claim one of two spots available for the World Finals in Sweden.

National Competition Overview

Seven teams from Scania’s Australian company-owned branch network participated in the National Finals. These teams advanced after a knockout round involving an additional eight teams from across the country.

“Top Team is a global Scania initiative that celebrates and develops the professionalism of our service teams, strengthening technical capability, efficiency, and collaboration within our workshops,” said Stefan Weber, Director of Aftersales at Scania Australia, who supervised the event held at Scania’s Campbellfield head office in late October.

Team Dandenong’s Success

Team Dandenong claimed the top prize for the second year running, led by captain Chris Chilver. He described this year’s National Finals as the most challenging of the four he has competed in during his career.

“We had good team spirit; we weren’t discouraged by low scores at certain stations and focused on the next. Knowing it would be tough, we stayed determined. Each member was assigned tasks matching their strengths, and I think we worked well together,” Chris Chilver explained.
