Explosion at Taganrog Transformer Substation Causes Power Outage
An explosion followed by a fire occurred at the T-25 transformer substation in Taganrog, located on the grounds of the former TagAZ plant in Russia’s Rostov region. The incident took place in the morning of November 9 and resulted in partial disruptions to power and water supplies across several city districts.
According to local authorities, the fire was promptly localized, there were no casualties, and the restoration of electricity is expected soon. Emergency repair teams are currently working on recovery operations, with an estimated power restoration time of approximately two hours.
