The Memphis Grizzlies suffered a 133-120 defeat against the New York Knicks after surrendering a devastating 19-0 run in the second quarter. This run broke a tie and pushed Memphis into a significant deficit they never overcame.
Memphis experienced a rough start, trailing 42-30 at the end of the first quarter following a 12-point streak by the Knicks. The Knicks extended their momentum early in the second quarter with a 19-0 run, which put Memphis behind by as much as 28 points.
Despite a stronger effort in the second half, the Grizzlies could not close the gap. Memphis’s turnovers were costly, with 22 giveaways leading to 33 points for New York, while Memphis only capitalized on 11 points off turnovers.
Turnovers and three-point shooting significantly favored the Knicks, helping them maintain control throughout the game.
The Grizzlies are scheduled to play next on November 12 against the Boston Celtics.
