Elizabeth Olsen shares her thoughts on Marvel Studios wrapping up a secret trilogy of TV shows that began with her acclaimed role in WandaVision. Even Marvel chief Kevin Feige admitted the studio may have produced too many new TV series for Disney+, but the MCU’s streaming era started strong with WandaVision in 2021.
Following Marvel’s year-long break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, WandaVision earned widespread acclaim for its inventive storytelling, with each episode paying homage to different sitcom eras, and for its compelling performances. Though it never received a second season, it inspired the successful spinoff Agatha All Along.
Now, another spinoff, VisionQuest, starring Paul Bettany, is set to continue the story that began with WandaVision. Speaking with Inverse, Olsen revealed she only recently learned details about the project from Bettany himself.
“I didn’t know anything about it until [Paul Bettany] and I spent time with each other just the other week, and he’s so proud of it. It really sounds like a trifecta between Agatha All Along, his show, VisionQuest, and what we made with WandaVision. So, I’m excited to see that.”
VisionQuest is scheduled to premiere in 2026, although the exact release date is yet to be announced. Its arrival marks a notable moment in Marvel Studios’ history.
Elizabeth Olsen highlights how VisionQuest will complete a trilogy of Marvel shows that started with WandaVision, marking an exciting chapter for the MCU’s evolving streaming saga.
