Ambassador Pete Hoekstra Reverses Anti-Tariff Stance

However, Ambassador Pete Hoekstra, who had previously opposed tariffs on Canada, has changed his position. Initially, Hoekstra was against tariffs, but more recently, he has supported measures that place tariffs on Canadian goods.
“The tariffs are an important tool,” Hoekstra stated, signaling a shift from his earlier stance.
