The Bellaire high school cross country program achieved a remarkable feat, bringing home four team championships from one day's performance.
They won the Buckeye 8 race with 64 points, ahead of St. Clairsville's 73, and the OVCCL race with 77 points, topping the Red Devils by 10.
"We've been running really well and instilling the history and tradition in our program and the kids have definitely bought into it,"
said Bellaire head coach Chris Armo. He noted that the next three weeks will be crucial, with the Ohio sectionals scheduled at Cambridge High School.
"We've had some very good seasons over the years and we've had some teams make it to the state meet and win some OVAC championships,"
Armo added, looking forward to the upcoming weeks. Each team will graduate just one senior.
