Clearing Rain & Storm Aftermath

Heavy flooding hit portions of Western Colorado, but now the rain is clearing.

Rain poured across Western Colorado from midnight until sunrise, accounting for the 60% chance of moisture in the forecast. Drizzles are expected this morning, but will eventually fade by the end of the day.

The remnants of the storms associated with Tropical Depression Raymond are dissipating. The Grand Junction area has seen 2.29 IN of rain since Friday, and 2.33 IN of rain since the start of the month.

According to historical records, the average precipitation for October is 0.40 IN. Records have been broken with the rainfall over the last several days.

The National Weather Service has renewed a Flood Watch for Southwestern Colorado.
