ARCA West and NWMT Races at Las Vegas and Thompson
The ARCA Menards Series West and the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour held their penultimate races at the Bullring in Las Vegas and Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park.
Trevor Huddleston had an 18-point lead over Kyle Keller in the driver standings before the Las Vegas event. Keller needed several factors to go in his favor to remain in championship contention at Phoenix Raceway on November 1.
Austin Beers led the NWMT driver standings by 18 points over Justin Bonsignore before Thompson. Bonsignore had to finish near Beers to keep his title hopes alive for a potential fifth NWMT championship.
Championship hunt was still on for Keller and Bonsignore.
