Glencore Apology for Sudbury Smelter Fallout Incident
Glencore Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations (INO) has issued an apology for a fallout incident that occurred in the Sudbury community of Falconbridge on September 23 and 24.
This incident was unacceptable and we sincerely apologize for the disruption it has caused.
A town hall meeting will be held on October 16 at the Falconbridge Community Centre to update residents on the investigation and answer questions.
The meeting aims to present clean-up plans to Falconbridge residents and provide an update on the airborne release of dust from a smelter.
