Rescue Deal Saves Over 400 Jobs at Roberts Bakery
A pre-pack deal with Boparan Private Office has saved 433 jobs at Roberts Bakery.
The investment, made for an undisclosed fee, sees the creation of a new company, Roberts Bakery 1887 Ltd, a reference to the year the Cheshire-based business was founded.
The private investment firm owned by entrepreneur Ranjit Singh Boparan has helped bakery manufacturer Frank Roberts & Son Ltd safeguard jobs across two sites.
- The deal was announced on 15 October.
- The company produces bread under the Roberts Bakery brand as well as speciality bread and sweet treats for supermarkets and coffee shops.
