Hannah Step, a philanthropist and supporter of the University of California San Diego, passed away in September, at the age of 93. She made a remarkable impact in multiple therapeutic areas, including:
- cardiac research
- clinical care and wellness
- palliative care
- gastroenterology
- medical education at UC San Diego
The goal of her efforts was to benefit patients and their families. The Step Family Foundation was honored with a Chancellor’s Medal in 2022 in recognition of Hannah Step and her family’s generosity and vision.
