On Tuesday, October 14, some flights at Kelowna and Victoria airports were delayed due to a cyber security incident.
The incident occurred between 5 p.m. at both the Kelowna International Airport (YLW) and Victoria International Airport (YYJ), where pro-Hamas messages were displayed on screens and announced over the public address systems.

According to the airport, the unauthorized messaging was removed, and flight information display screens were restored. The airport is working on restoring the PA system.
The City of Kelowna stated that the cyber security incident was limited to a cloud-based third-party software provider.
