Parents Abandon Autistic Son in Daycare Center
Parents in Patras, western Greece, refused to pick up their 17-year-old autistic son from a daycare center.
The father claimed he couldn't pick up the child due to work, saying
"I have work, I can’t come".
The mother also refused, stating
"I took care of him for seventeen years. I can’t do it anymore".
The boy, who has high-functioning autism, attends a weekly session at the center.
Local media reported that the parents are divorced and have a tense relationship.
