Ortonville in Spotlight for Minnesota Governor's Pheasant Hunt Opener
Hunters wearing blaze orange hit the public lands surrounding Ortonville in western Minnesota for the 13th annual pheasant-hunting opener event.
The event was hosted by the DNR, Explore Minnesota, and the Governor's Office.
"We were pheasant hunters, not deer hunters, pheasant and grouse,"
Governor Walz said, regarding his outdoor experience.
This annual event holds special meaning for Gov. Walz.
