Police have been drafted in to assist with the movement of an abnormal load, 98 metres long, through North Staffordshire.
The load is currently paused at The Harvester near Trentham to allow traffic to clear and will resume its journey towards Newcastle at 12:25hrs on the A34.
Motorists are advised to adjust their route if traveling through Stone, Newcastle, and Butt Lane, and to be courteous and understanding as the load makes its way to Cheshire.
According to police, the load has cleared Stafford and is on its way to Stone, where it will go 'contraflow' after Walton island and then onto Darlaston, rejoining the correct side as it heads to Newcastle.
