The UK government has introduced the first digital ID as part of its plan to digitalize various forms of identification.
The new digital ID, initially available as a digital veteran card for ex-members of the armed services, was presented at an event at the Tower of London.
The digital ID cards, dubbed "Britcards", aim to tackle illegal immigration and will be a requirement for starting a new job in the UK.
