The Elko Nevada Temple is set for dedication, bringing blessings to Saints across northeastern Nevada.
Ahead of the dedication, those involved with the open house shared how they have seen the house of the Lord touch individual lives.
“Northeastern Nevada has the largest gold mining operations in North America and is a major economic boon for this part of the state,”
said Erik Smith, of the Elko Nevada West Stake. He sees particular meaning in the golden letters on the temple,
“Holiness to the Lord” and “The house of the Lord”, which shine with a golden hue in the evening.
The temple will be dedicated by Stevenson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and will become the third operating temple in Nevada, after Las Vegas (1989) and Reno (2000).
