The Chinese cyberespionage hackers known as Salt Typhoon continue their campaign against global telecoms, according to managed threat detection firm Darktrace.
A recent threat activity consistent with Salt Typhoon indicators was spotted in July, targeting a European telecom.
Salt Typhoon, also known as Earth Estries, GhostEmperor, and UNC2286, is operated by private hacking firms that work with Chinese government agencies, as revealed by leaked data earlier this year.
The group primarily targets telecoms and digital infrastructure.
