The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) had previously encouraged scientists to find alternatives to chemical testing in animals.
- Researchers at Texas A&M were awarded an EPA Science to Achieve Results (STAR) grant in August 2020.
- The grant, worth nearly $800,000, funded work on improving “in vitro-to-in vivo extrapolation” methods.
