Retired NFL defensive end Isaac Rochell admits that training for a marathon is "way harder than football" as he prepares for the Chicago Marathon.
Rochell, 29, spent seven years playing in the NFL, facing tough linemen on Sundays. Now, he's taking on a new challenge: running a marathon.
"I went from wearing this jersey [NFL shirt] to this jersey [marathon bib]."
Rochell announced his retirement from football on his wife's podcast, saying he's "super happy to be done" and "really accomplished." He's now found a new way to test his discipline: marathon running.
Rochell aims to finish the Chicago Marathon in 3:15. He says marathon training is a very different kind of challenge, one that has nothing to do with football.
