Investor Confidence Falters Under Prabowo's Policies
A year into Prabowo Subianto's presidency, fiscal uncertainty persists as investor confidence weakens.
Institutional investors from insurance firms, pension funds, and banks gathered at the Ministry of Finance to discuss their concerns with Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa.
"They wanted to know the policy direction I'll take to ensure faster economic growth,"
Purbaya said after the meeting. The investors raised concerns about the investment climate in Indonesia, citing it as "not very good" despite government efforts to streamline licensing.
