Former special counsel Jack Smith has requested a public hearing before the House and Senate Judiciary Committees.
The hearing is related to his investigations into President Donald Trump's alleged mishandling of classified documents and involvement in January 6.
Smith's request follows a letter from House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH), demanding Smith schedule a testimony before the committee.
Smith’s request comes after Jordan's letter on Oct. 14.
