Tragedy in Oxfordshire Village
A woman is fighting for her life after a 9-year-old girl was killed in an incident at a property in Middle Street, Islip, on Tuesday, October 21.
Two other children were hurt in the incident, which occurred at 11:15am. A boy and a girl were taken to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.
A post-mortem examination has been carried out, but the cause of death remains unascertained pending further investigation.
The girl's family is being supported by specially trained family liaison officers and has requested privacy at this difficult time.
A woman is in a life-threatening condition under police watch in hospital after the incident.
