Navy's Top Officer on Deploying Troops
During a visit to Philadelphia for the Navy's 250th anniversary, Admiral Daryl Caudle spoke about the military's role in a moment of heightened tension.
When we get a demand signal for our troops to be deployed anywhere under a lawful order, it is my goal to provide those troops for the missions that the Secretary of War wants to actually utilize them for.
Admiral Caudle stated that he would follow "lawful" orders to deploy troops "anywhere", including U.S. cities.
