New Smart Speed Limit System in Abu Dhabi
A new variable speed limit (VSL) system is being introduced on Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Road in Abu Dhabi, starting from October 27.
The Integrated Transport Centre (Abu Dhabi Mobility) is implementing this system to make traffic safer and smoother.
How it Works
The VSL system uses electronic signs to automatically adjust the speed limit in real time, taking into account factors such as:
- Weather
- Congestion
- Accidents
- Roadworks
- Major events
Think of it as a live traffic assistant
This smart tech aims to make driving smarter and more efficient.
