Denji falls deeply in love with Makima, who takes control of the situation with her strength and excess blood. She assigns Denji a new partner, the Shark Fiend named Beam, a massive fan of Chainsaw Man.
Denji and Makima's relationship blossoms as they go on a date, spending the day at the movie theater and discussing films. Denji realizes that Makima is the one who makes him feel like he has a heart, and it belongs to her.
Meanwhile, Denji has a chance encounter with another beautiful girl, Reze, who works at a coffee cafe, on a rainy afternoon, adding a new layer to the story.
