Sarnia forward Carter Fogarty made his debut with the Drummondville Voltigeurs in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), drawing an assist.
Fogarty, 17, signed with the Voltigeurs after a strong start in the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) with the Pickering Panthers, where he was fifth in the scoring race with 14-15-29 totals in 15 games.
He is a rapidly improving player who can play both ends of the ice, possesses a very strong work ethic and is highly competitive.
According to Voltigeurs general manager Yanick Lemay, Fogarty's skills and work ethic made him an attractive addition to the team.
Carter has worked incredibly hard in Pickering since the first day of camp to get this opportunity.
Panthers general manager Sean Meyers expressed pride in Fogarty's achievement, wishing him well in Drummondville. Fogarty had previously attended training camp with the Sarnia Sting and the QMJHL's Cape Breton Eagles.
