Dubai's First Art Museum
The Dubai Museum of Art (DUMA), a private institution funded by Al Futtaim Group, will be built on a jetty in Dubai Creek.
The building, designed by Tadao Ando, is expected to be shaped like a curved shell and will feature five storeys.
- Galleries on the first and second floors
- A restaurant and VIP lounge
- Space for art fairs
No timeline has been given for the museum, nor news about how its collection will be assembled.
The model was unveiled at a ceremony attended by high-level Emirati figures, including the ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
