Danish medtech company Ambu has agreed to purchase a 1.8-acre leasehold factory in Bayan Lepas, Penang, from SkyGate Solutions for 61 million DKK.
The completion of the sale is targeted by July 2026. SkyGate Solutions, a Malaysia-based precision engineering and industrial property group, previously known as Ewein Bhd, aims to free up capital for reinvestment in higher-growth projects through this disposal.
The factory was acquired by SkyGate in April 2017 for approximately 23.3 million DKK. The sale price was determined on a willing-buyer, willing-seller basis, reflecting the site's location, without an independent valuation.
Ambu, founded in Denmark in 1937, is a global medical technology company renowned for its single-use endoscopy, diagnostic, and life-supporting devices.
